Now that AVX is over, I can finally admit how much I hated it. The entire plot was ridiculous. Literally nothing bad would’ve happened if the avengers hadn’t stuck their collective nose into the X-Men’s business. I hate that Cap is Marvel’s golden boy, and that he always has to be proven right in some way. This whole mess was due to his inability to take a back seat to something that in the end, others were much more qualified to deal with. Cyclops may have been obsessed, insane even, but he had a very powerful following. Don’t start wars with mad men over ego. And yes, that’s what it was over. Ego. Cap couldn’t deal with the fact that he wasn’t in total control of an uncontrollable situation.

I realize this is all fiction but I’m just so angry! Is this what being part of a fandom is like?
